ZODIAC® - Optimus TTC (Through Tubing Control) Valve
Our Technology...
What is it ?
The Red Spider Through Tubing Control (TTC) Valve is an open/close device developed for use in hostile well conditions where remote control of flow through the tubing is required.
Primarily designed for use as part of an Intelligent Completion System, the TTC Valve can be used in a wide variety of applications to remotely control injection or production of reservoir fluids by acting as a downhole barrier.
The TTC Valve is deployed as part of the tubing string together with hydraulic control lines linked to the surface for remote activation. An integrated two-way, hydraulically activated piston allows the operator to remotely open or close the TTC by applying pressure to the relevant control line. Once either fully open or closed the valve assembly is locked into position to prevent unwanted actuation.
Deployment of the TTC is not depth dependant as the valve operates on a closed loop hydraulic circuit and is capable of withstanding extreme differential pressures across the sealing surfaces.
When would I use it ?
The Optimus TTC Valve can be used in several different applications:
- As the lower-most valve in an Intelligent Well System, to remotely isolate flow to and from the lowest interval
- Wherever remote control over the tubing flow is required
- A deep set remote controlled downhole flow barrier
- As a shallow set (ie SSSV depth) barrier for long work-string deployment and retrieval
