ZODIAC® - Optimus ATC (Annular Tubing Control) Valve

What is it ?

The Red Spider Optimus ATC Valve has been developed for use in applications where remote control of flow is required, be it in a water injection, or an oil or gas production well. What makes this device unique is the method it employs to control flow and the minimal quantity of hydraulic control lines that are required to operate it.

The Optimus ATC Valve has a unique patent applied for means of controlling fluid or gas flow.

As a consequence, not only does the device perform better in debris and scale situations but the metal to metal sealing mechanism is continually in contact during operation. In addition, the number of hydraulic lines required to control the device(s) can also be reduced and in certain circumstances a single line can be used to control up to two separate devices.

When would I use it ?

The Optimus ATC Valve can be used in several different applications:

• Full control of an oil or gas producing interval without the need for intervention
• Full control over water injection into designated zones without the need for intervention
• As a means of circulating between annulus and tubing, controlled remotely from surface
• In situations where the choking of produced or injected fluids would prove beneficial
• Where wellhead penetrations limit the number of downhole control lines that can be run
