Tubing Mounted High Lift Injection Valve
Our Technology...
What is it ?
The Red Spider Tubing Mounted Injection Valve is a device which is typically deployed below the production packer on the tail pipe in water injection well completions.
The device provides the operator with a substantially increased flow area when compared to conventional intervention deployed injection valves. As a consequence, this allows greater water injection volumes and rates to be delivered into the reservoir leading to increased hydrocarbon production.
The valve is usually run with a blank plug directly below which can be removed at a later date should full bore access through the device be required for subsequent intervention operations. The blank plug can also be replaced by a conventional injection valve should maximum injection flow area be required.
When would I use it ?
The device is intended for use in applications where:
- The maximum amount of water injection possible is required to be delivered in to a respective well.
- It is positioned below the production packer as a deep set valve
- Full bore access may be required through the device
- Access through the device is required without having to lock it open
- Huff and Puff applications where the purpose is to inject fluids into the upper formation and then switch over to production from the lower formation. In this situation the device would be used in combination with the Fluid Support Device.
