Cross-flow Isolation Device

What is it ?

The Red Spider Cross-flow Isolation Tool prevents communication between two zones which have differing pressure levels and the tendency to cross-flow.

The tool is typically deployed below a sump packer, enabling it to be positioned at any point in the well bore and prevent cross-flow to a zone below.

When would I use it ?

The Cross-flow Isolation Tool has been designed to provide cross-flow isolation between an upper zone which has a higher pressure than that of a lower zone, both of which are accessed by the same well bore. The Inverse Cross-flow Isolation Tool has been developed to prevent the reverse cross-flow scenario.
