PowerBall is a computer controlled reservoir isolation barrier specifically designed to cope with the large amounts of debris that would be expected during a well completion operation.

It is permanently deployed in the lowest part of the completion and is reopened using a single user-defined command. This avoids the need for multiple pressure cycles, making PowerBall extremely easy to activate and saving considerable amounts of rig-time.
